the series
Game of Releases began as a personal project — a way for me to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning) about Release Management. What started as a simple idea has grown into a curated series of 100 episodes, organized across 10 chapters. The goal? To unpack the strategy, systems, and human challenges behind smooth, scalable software delivery — and to do it with honesty, structure, and the occasional tough question.

Let me introduce myself
My name is Alexandra Vișan — I’m a Senior Release Manager and DevSecOps Project Manager with close to a decade of experience in the IT industry, much of it spent supporting large-scale delivery operations in agile environments.
I began my career in the gaming industry as a junior contributor, and over time, my path evolved from software quality to agile leadership, team coaching, and ultimately, release management — where I discovered the intersection of people, tools, process, and progress.
Working across diverse industries has given me both breadth and depth — a wide-angle view of how delivery works, and a sharp focus on what truly makes it effective. I’ve chosen to specialize in streamlining release workflows, driving continuous improvement, and helping teams deliver with clarity and consistency. My approach is grounded in SAFe® Lean-Agile principles and shaped by hands-on experience, having seen release management evolve from its earliest steps to fully scaled delivery systems. As this journey revealed that optimizing flows, discovering accelerators, and facilitating value stream mapping are true passions of mine, I chose to support them with multiple certifications — including the highly regarded SAFe® Release Train Engineer.
Game of Releases is my way of capturing lessons, ideas, and frameworks that don’t always fit neatly into templates or playbooks. It’s not just about best practices — it’s about unpacking the mechanics behind great delivery, and sharing what I’ve learned in a way that sparks growth, reflection, and conversation.

Whether you’re here out of curiosity, a passion for process, or the challenges of leading real-world releases — welcome.
I hope the Game of Releases library offers you insights, clarity, or even just the right question at the right time.
